Regarding the ACARS data, I am curious as to how that all got started? How was the testimony and data of Winter and Knerr compelled, or was it given voluntarily? Was it part of the 911 Commission? Or perhaps some civil lawsuit? Thanks very much Happy Holidays to you and yours! |

Hi amazed, Winter and Knerr have been interviewed by the FBI in early 2002. The date of the Winter interview is 28th January, and Knerr was present, too. Two weeks later, the FBI interviewed Knerr, with the focus on the last (rejected) messages for United 93. This makes me believe that the FBI saw the same problems with Winter's testimony as we do. Knerr was interviewed for clarification. The FBI interviews came to light then in 2009. |

Thanks Woody. That suggests that there were a few guys in the FBI that were not in on the coverup. And the dates mean that it was not as a result of the 911 Commission.

Todd Beamer is a hell of a guy! He manages twice to place a second call before he finishes the first one. And of course to survive the crash deeply buried in a field and still being connected for another 44 minutes ...
