You were from a perfect world
A world that threw me away today Today today to run away" A pill to make you numb A pill to make you dumb A pill to make you anybody else But all the drugs in this world Won't save her from herself |

Rob, Baker Street is one of my favourite songs ever.
Reminded me of this tune - incredible vocal performance, shimmering production, intelligent songwriting, and tasteful guitar playing by dorky-looking guitar players. One of these days, I'll figure out how to embed videos. This post has been edited by mrmitosis: Jun 19 2011, 11:51 PM |

Little River Band - Home On A Monday One of these days, I'll figure out how to embed videos. Here it is Mr mitosis: On the you tube page click the "share" button. Then click the "embed" button. Copy the code that comes up. Before you paste the code on your "add reply" page, make sure you first switch to 'HTML 0n - auto linebreak mode', paste then, and voilà - it's done! cheers This post has been edited by Tamborine man: Jun 19 2011, 11:34 PM |

Hey, thanks Mr Tamborine Man!
I managed to sort it out before my chance to edit the original post expired! Smoother than Briggs' lead playing! Thanks for including the live footage, but I particularly like the studio version because his volume swells during the intro are a bit nicer. I was Geoff Cox's drum technician a few years ago...you know, the guy who played for LRB and now hosts Coxy's Big Break on Channel 7? I could never work out how he got recruited by such a first class band - he's bloody hopeless! |

Poor Geoff Cox! ![]() Cheers |

I'm not an obsessive Mark Lanegan fan, but I certainly appreciate the power of his gruff baritone.
I was at a very intimate acoustic performance last night, and he played my favourite obscure Pink Floyd song in the encore. Although this clip is not from last night's gig, this is the song I'm talking about and I was standing in about the same spot. This post has been edited by mrmitosis: Jul 31 2011, 08:09 PM |
