Ok, so i picked a book by Richard Cavendish called The Black Arts, an in depth look at magic. The first chapter is filled with magical horror stories, demon chasing, crazy spell stories, probably to test the reader's diligence. The rest of the book covers Qabbalah, numerology, astrology...and that's as far as I've got.

Anyway, has anyone familiar with the concept of numerology noticed the patterns recently?

-arbitrary 700 billion dollar bailout number.

-777 drop on Black Monday III

-U.S. dollar index miraculously was around .77 (I'm having a hard time finding .gov data for this. Anyone got a link to september 29th USDX chart?)

numerology has a basic concept which involves summing all numbers of a group. It's important to note that when using numerology, the accepted numbers/letters (they were both in Hebew) are what counts, not the original number. Example: Your name is Jason Peabody Brown. Everyone knows you as J.P. Brown. When adding your total, you use JP Brown, not the original same. Same concept applies to using the rounded 777 or and not the .68

700 --> 7 + 0 + 0 = 7

777 --> 7 + 7 + 7 = 21 = 3

09/29/2008 --> 9 + 2 + 8 +2 + 8 = 29 = 11 = 2?

2 is the number of evil, because 1 represents God, the One, the omnipitence, the male creative force of the phallus, things like this. 2 represents duality, equal but opposite sides, yin and yang, which means someone or something is antithesis and EQUAL to god. This why God does not say after his 2nd day of creation "and It was good", because 2 is evil.

11 is also in a special category. Your powers are heightened, for both good and bad, when a number 11 arises.

I never said this post was actually going anywhere.

Your extreme numerological novice,

Although I personally give little credence to numerology, apparently some groups are pretty big into it, and it can be useful to decipher their "coded" messages.

First a little background about years, from a masonic website:
http://www.constantine13.org/calendar.htm

"RULES FOR COMPUTING CURRENT MASONIC DATES
  1. ANCIENT CRAFT-Add 4000 years to the common era. Thus, 1935 and 4000 is A:L: 5935.
  2. A:A:S: RITE-Add 3760 to the common era. Thus, 1935 and 3760 is A:M: 5695. After September add another year.
  3. ROYAL ARCH-Add 530 to the common era. Thus, 1935 and 530 is A:I: 2465.
  4. ROYAL AND SELECT MASTERS-Add 1000 to the common era. Thus, 1935 and 1000 is A:Dep: 2935.
  5. KNIGHTS TEMPLAR-From the Christian era take 1118. Thus, 1118 from 1935 is A:O: 817.
  6. ORDER OF HIGH PRIESTHOOD-To the Christian era add 1913, the year of the Blessing, B.C. Thus, 1935 and 1913 is A:Beo: 3848"
-----------------------
I've read that Satanists are pretty fond of 6, 7, and 8 (especially in triples), and they refer to 9 as a "selfish number" because of its unusual properties.

Here's another page on the digits:

I initially started looking at this from some of GH's and OF's recent posts about significant dates. Then there's the AA11, AA77, 9/11, and "Twin Towers (columns)" things...

I'm not saying there is anything to any of this, but it might prove interesting to investigate for some.

Well, there's the whole 11:11 thing. I just recently heard of this, but it does explain why streetlights go off at times while I walk under them. whistle.gif

My buddy had two 11:11s today, he said.

3:33 (usu. AM) for me OF. Didn't someone else around here have a 3:33 "synchronicity?"

Also, did anyone see the movie "23?" I didn't but it sounded kind of interesting (and relevant here?).

EDIT: The Pythagoreans were big into prime numbers and Platonic Solids. We might want some prime number references in this context.

That is so cool!

For the last year or so, I thought I was laughing at my own little joke.....catching the clock at funny times (11:11, 12:34, etc)...I just point at the clock and chuckle....like someone is having a little fun with me....

I never knew others had the same experience!!

Pseudo Science

If we are going to bring Numerology into this we might as well start rubbing a lucky rabbits foots, peering into crystal balls, and squeezing goat testicles....

50/50 either way

EDIT: Don't forget the four-leaf clover!

This is the type of stuff I have a little problem with.....I will first admit, IT IS TOTALLY POSSIBLE....but, think of all the OTHER number combo's that you cross in your day (and the endless ways to view numbers....hey look, there are 11 birds over there, most be a prophecy)

Is it possible that because of the ATTRACTION of the numbers 11:11 or 12:34 or 11:22 that we notice these more than say, 1:36, or 16:10 or any of the other combination's that we could think of.

It seems a lot like selective evidence...cherry picking

but, as stated earlier I recognize that it could be true...just playing a little DA

Who knows about numerology? But we do know that the Illuminati (or whatever you want to call them) use it in their ritual magic, so it's something to consider. It can help us understand the enemy, and maybe even foresee their activities.

I had a wacky period last winter, for a couple of months. I was 'seeing' numbers in everything, especially latching on to prime numbers. I now think I was being sucked into the dark side. I did intentionally extricate myself from what seemed like a 'spell'. It's hard to go into much more detail.

Anyway, I somehow contrived this sequence of numbers. I have no idea what the formula was, but there are some very interesting numbers in this list:

1

2

3

7

9

27

99

327

622

911

61424

220099

1882420957

~~~
About a week later I came up with this binary sequence:
100100
1001110
100110
100111
10011
10010
1001
1001001
In decimal, this is 36 - 78 - 38 - 39 - 19 - 18 - 9 - 73
~~~

One more:

2536/18499

18499/2536

7/1

7

Beatles,

I wasn't so much commenting on the Numerology aspect of things, moreover the synchronicity aspect....

like when I was responding to a thread here, and had just turned on the XM radio....as I began typing the letters sync(of synchronicity)....I looked over to see the radio pop up the name of the song playing, and it was "synchronicity"

Funky

Ever thought about the total accumulated time,
spent over ones lifetime,
looking at a digital clock or calendar?

Should I be glad that there are only 60 minutes in an hour?

The first thing you learn after counting to infinity,
is you got to do it again.

There is something fishy about the name, numerology,
the study of numbers?
...sudo-math?

Thinking is just a little part of what my mind is capable of...
...I think.

Is the bailout a "must be" from the powers that be?
If it is, then I could see them glorifying it with specific dates and times.

imo, lunk

I know what you mean....I just came back to this thread because I have been playing a little video game Football (American Football) and had 1 minute 51 seconds left to play. Curiously (and I at the time seemingly unrelated) I looked to check the time.....guess what? 1:51 pm!!!!

EDIT: and in numerology...... 1 + 5 + 1.............7!!!
Excuse me while I pick the pieces of my blown mind up.... cleanup.gif

Yeppers, if IIRC....and it was in a thread about synchronicity that I was beginning to type the word synchronicity when I looked over at the silent radio to see the word synchronicity pop up.... blink.gif

Lately when I'm lucky enough to have a lucid dream, I've been calling up the "higher powers" to give me lottery numbers, but instead they plunk me down in different oddball situations.... laugh.gif ...at least I'm learning more about myself....

Interesting thread. A while back I read some on numerology, trouble is each writer has a different opinion.
I have always had a liking for number 8. My first, middle and last name have 8 letters in each (888) and I was born on the 8th. Somwhere I read that the number 8 creates havoc and destruction ph34r.gif But somewhere else I read it's a good number, powerful. I don't know, but I am always drawn to it.

Could be a bit of duality.....

John Lennon went thru a large numerology phase (though I think it was mostly Yoko)

His was the number 9...him and his son born on the same date (10/9), songs of his (Number 9 Dream, Revolution #9, One After 909, his album Walls and Bridges features a cartoon Lennon drew at age 11, with an athlete wearing number 9, he met yoko on the 9th, met his manager on the 9th, signed a contract on the 9th, mother lived on the 9th house on his road...that type of stuff...

The book I have on Lennon dedicates a chapter to this, and mentions Yoko telling him that Nine is another way of representing Pain and Suffering....

Interesting stuff I suppose.

In fact, the house he bought (The Dakota) was number 1818, chosen specifically for its numerology result

Does anyone notice that there is a one hour and eleven minutes interval between every time I check the clock?
This is called timing, or beat, it is natural for people to keep rhythms, set at any duration.
Sort of not so much a mystery as we all have an inner sense of time and timing.
Setting the clock strait...
...and still spacing
