Thought I'd write a post of introduction (although I've posted a few times)

I'm a visual artist and I've done a few items specifically about politically charged symbolism about some modern events but I usually stick to simpler basic themes .

I've also been a fan of MS flight simulator for 7 years but never got to fly in reality (except on commercial flights). Maybe some day but I'm not sure I'll ever have the money or desire for the rules haha.

I'm also interested in astronomy. When I was younger I was outside on clear nights doing backyard astronomy .... locating galaxies, nebulae, star clusters on star charts. I still remember the constellations I learned back then which is kind of nice to look up and still see ancient Greek myths (example) portrayed as imaginary shapes in the sky. Maybe some day I'll get back into actual observing.

It's odd how a recent search online for telescopes shows how many are computer controlled and will point to a ton of objects in the sky on command. I feel like some old fashioned luddite in proudly thinking I'd still be doing visual star hopping using star charts and a red flashlight ;-) .

I'm interested in philosophy and in particular aspects of Buddhism, Taoist concepts and Zen as well as taking bits and pieces from anywhere.

I'll close with a pic of my flying adventures whistle.gif

Hay z!

Here is a song that says most "of it..."

Pink Floyd - Hey You [CAUTION: The band has been known to "fu#k with" your hearing before- it might start out quiet.]
