Pilots For 9/11 Truth Forum _ Alternative Theories _ Publicity

Posted by: Docten Mar 24 2014, 05:18 AM

I think the movement needs an infusion of new publicity avenues. That is why I have written a stage play called, "9-11, The Official Version: A Comedy".
It is not offensive to the victims or their loved ones, but pokes fun at the official version. Anyone interested in helping me see this play produced, please reply.
Thank you. I think it has a chance to bring a great deal of publicity to the Truth movement, besides, it's funny.

Good idea! I've thought of doing that myself and you've saved me the trouble. If you've never produced a play before, please consider the rich world of Off Off Broadway. It's where the most interesting theatre is, and where it's incredibly cheap to get something onto a stage. Be prepared to wheel and deal and barter for rehearsal space, and to practice in people's living rooms or whatever it takes if you're doing a no-budget production. Which, in my opinion, remains the most fun way to do something. And try to get it into festivals, especially the big ones, any of the major Fringe festivals. It's the most accessible form of theatre and the easiest way to get a notice in the papers.

Forgive me if I'm telling you stuff you already know.

Just one other thing to note: You may have written it to be non-offensive to victims and their loved ones. You may be convinced beyond any rational doubt that it is absolutely non-offensive to victims and their loved ones. And it may in objective fact be completely non-offensive to victims and their loved ones.

People are going to be offended anyway. Prepare your mind. Offensiveness is in the worldview of the offended.

Good luck.

I'm not sure how you would stage two plane crashes and make them look in any way convincing. It's been tried before, EPIC fail. rolleyes.gif

Come on Chris, give the guy a break! You don't have any idea of how Docten has conceived the delivery of his play at this point. Why not offer encouragement instead of 'troll-ment'?

Oh and by the way, welcome to the forum!

Sorry to tell you that such a comedy already exists. Go to YouTube and search for "Corbettreport". Here is the liknk to that video

9/11 - The Truth In 5 Minutes - James Corbett

I think no one can do it better..

Good idea, if you can pull it off. I had the same idea 5 years now, and I haven't done it yet. Maybe we can share ideas. How do I get in touch with you? Definitely humor, satire, yes.

Don't pay heed to lazy naysayers, especially yourself. Why flinch from irrational criticism before it is even shot at you? Absolutely everything to do with the Truther movement, even considering looking at footage of the event is an excuse for them to attack you. It is no disrespect to try to assure that the real murderers are exposed. This is controversial, but that would be its main defining quality; you have to be in the mood to step into the fire. But you are not alone.

John,

Thanks for the advice. I am aware that it is going to offend some. I believe that fact will increase the publicity value, and I am willing to take the negative responses.

Chris, I have no plans to show planes crashing. The script concentrates on other factors like: Bush Administration had lots of warnings, disruption of FBI investigations, Atta's drinking and cocaine use, etc

I'm not sure why you are comparing my play to a 5 minute Youtube video. I'm not trying to "do it better", just trying to do it differently.

Mike,

Thanks for coming to my defense. You were faster than Norad on 9-11.

You are welcome Robert!
I wish you all the best in your endeavor.

I would simply ignore the two posters above (ChrisRoberts and Saheike) who are more than
likely sock puppets.

A genuine/sincere poster would not come along to make their debut post at this site and trash another poster in it.

So, do it differently!

Be sure to include a scene depicting George dubya and Condoleezza Rice going into a bonkers-fenzy when they first hear the news that the WTC was totally demolished.

I maintain that they, in real life, were not expecting such an eventuality because the demolition of the WTC was a piggyback plot executed by NYC factions.

P.M.

Thanks, I'm glad to see someone else finds comedy in the official version of the event (not the suffering, that was real).
