hey sanders, im curious about what your best accomplishments are in your music work. like i told you before, i also produce and engineer music (self taught), and i would personally love to accomplish at least SOMETHING big before this world finally goes to sh*t. i exclusively work with hip hop, although i love many types of music. i have a real shot at this, too. i work with some very good artists and my local buzz is very strong. i have people practically beating down my door to work with me, and i am no where NEAR as good as i could be. its been tough on me since my apartment fire back in the summer, i've had the whole thing on hold since then. i kind of needed the break anyway, and with my girlfriend getting pregnant, and helping her with her 3 year old daughter, i'm literally exhausted. but barring a really crazy winter, politically-wise, or even year for that matter, i plan on making these upcoming months all about my music again. anyway, let me stop rambling and ask the original question again in case you forgot...what is your biggest accomplishment with your music?

So, at my 30th birthday, i started to add a letter to 29.
Toay, I am 29g or 29h, depending on who I am talking to.

I can see no problem in beeing 50 or 60 at all, but i feld some
problems reching this age, when I read about the plans for NWO.

In case, I will not reach 29z or older, will you please tell everyone,

The thing that kind-of sucks is that equipment keeps getting more and more elaborate, flexible and sophisticated - but sounds worse and worse. People rage about how great records sounded in the 60's and 70's, really it wasn't that hard back then (I started in 1980, just in time for the crappy sounding consoles to come in) to make a good sounding record - you just plugged everything in and hit record - the equipment, the tape, it just sounded like that. To make a record now that has that kind of warmth, punch, etc. is very difficult. I think the recording business is the only industry in the world where yearly technological advancements make it harder and harder for people to do their job (make records that sound good). Every few years some new thing comes along that becomes the new standard and we (engineers, mixers) have to figure out ways to make up for the loss in actual audio quality, cursing and muttering the whole time, lol. <_<

The thing that's great these days, and this addresses the other part of your post, is that anyone can make a record. The home version of pro-tools (the recording/editing software that all the pros use) is only about a thousand dollars I think. You can make records with it.

The only other thing you need is ideas and other people to goof around with.

yeah i've used pro-tools before. i like Acid and Cubase better actually. I got a "hot" version of Acid (if you know what i mean B)) and used that for a while until i tried out Cubase at a different studio where we would go to sometimes, and i liked it so much i purchased it. its a great program. great sounding records to me are in the ears of the beholder. a scratchy, hissy, analog sounding recording can make a certain song better sometimes. its 10% knowledge and 90% creativity most of the time for me. 10% knowledge to know how to use your hardware/software and know your processors, and the rest is your good old ears telling how good or bad it sounds. i love it when i create something the so many other people love. its a great feeling, and i couldn't imagine doing anything else with my life. (besides help save the world, of course)

Me, I'm very much into my music - rock and metal mostly, but I am open. Right now I'm on a real AC/DC trip, got "Thunderstruck" blasting right now. I love movies too, a wide range. I'm a gamer too, although my Myspace says I play XBox 360 and that's a lie, I had to sell it.

I love music. I really only stay away from country and extreme punk. Emo doesn't appeal to me either. Oldies, Rock, Hip-Hop, Classical, to name a few.

I'm a huge movie buff. Historical films and comedies are my 2 favorites.

I used to be big into online gaming but that consumed way to much of my life and I had to get away from that.

I LOVE to read. Historical non-fiction or fiction is right up my alley.

I LOVE beer. I enjoy endulging in different types of beers. I have many favorites.
