Do we have this on this site somewhere?

There are a lot of good books out there right now that people should be reading.

Do we have a thread in Library for just the names of books and a short "what this is about" synposis?

Thx

For Example:

"Forbidden Truth US-Taliban Secret Oil Diplomacy and the Failed Hunt for Bin Laden" by Jean-Charles Brisard & Guillanme Dasquie

Synopsis: Excellent book talks about the "Blowback" of the US and Saudi Arabian policy in the 1980s of creating an Arab Islamic force to bring down the Soviet Union by miring it in a war with Afghanistan. There are charts that list names, associations, how they're linked, etc. (paperback 250 pgs approx)

A Review on the book is here:

http://www.epinions.com/content_269241650820

"The New Pearl Harbor" by David Ray Griffin

Synopsis: Said to be one of the best on 9/11 inconsistencies, and disturbing questions about 9/11.

"The 9/11 Commission Report Omissions and Distortions" by David Ray Griffin

Synopsis: Tears the 911 Commission Report to shreds. It is a bogus document overseen by puppets Zelikow, Kean, Hamilton. When you allow 'insiders' to perform investigations, you arrive at a contrived outcome. It's all about going through the motions with no real diligence.

"Phillip Dru Administrator"
by Colonel Edward Mandell House

http://www.globusz.com/ebooks/Dru/index.htm (free copy online)

Synopsis: Explains how our Presidents and politicians are manipulated from those in the Shadows who wield much power and influence. They manipulate elections, legislation, etc. It started in 1912 with Woodrow Wilson, and has been the strategy every since.

Well, kind of yes1.gif

If people list their recommendations in this thread it'll automatically be in the Library (I just Linked this thread).

My all time favorite book is 'Founding Brothers' by Joseph J. Ellis. Short. Using the friendships and infighting between the founding fathers in distinct chapters that focus on each of the founders in turn, this book gives you a personal and accurate picture of who founded America and how it went down. Simply amazing book. Though it's not about 9/11 or the war on terror, it'll make you want to take your country back.

Also somewhat similarly, my thread 9/11 Book Talk- What Have You Read, what did you think of it?

And I'm not sure about the copyright issues here but I'm going to throw in a few links for where people can find online versions of some of the books that are out there... I personally highly dislike reading online and would definitely buy a hard copy of the ones of these that I like (already have 3 of them with more planned). But, strictly in terms of research, the ability to type a search term into a .pdf beats the pants off of an index, no matter how good it is... so just for reference here are a few links- I didn't put them online, we're not hosting them here and anyone who was looking for them could find them without much effort anyway, so I figure a link or two here is fairly kosher in terms of invision's TOS. Someone correct me if I'm wrong and I'll take them down. Actually, one could argue that I'm doing the authors a favor by publicly announcing where these books are available online- that way if they have a problem with their books being hosted online they can contact those websites and get them removed...

sandiego.indymedia has hosted

9/11 - Descent into Tyranny by Alex Jones -

The New Pearl Harbor by David Ray Griffin -

9/11 Synthetic Terror - Made in the USA by Webster Tarpley

America's Secret Establishment - An Intro. to Skull and Bones by Antony Sutton -

NATO's Secret Armies - Operation Gladio & Terrorism in W. Europe Daniel Ganser -

and an online copy of Crossing The Rubicon by Mike Ruppert can be found here

.

Thanks a lot for those links Waterdancer ! It's hard to get these books in Holland and ordering from Amazon is too expensive with shipping and all. Great alternative! salute.gif

Just got a hold of a hard copy of Jim Marrs' book Rule by Secrecy: The Hidden History That Connects the Trilateral Commission, The Freemasons and the Great Pyramids. Looks like interesting reading. It's also hosted on Sandiego indymedia:

http://sandiego.indymedia.org/media/2006/10/119974.pdf

also here, conveniently broken up and linked by chapters:

http://book-case.kroupnov.ru/pages/library/Rule/contents.htm
thumbsup.gif 40 pages of sources in the back- my kind of book...

I found this quote interesting:

QUOTE
newly installed President Bill Clinton appointed his close friend and golfing buddy Webster Hubbell associate attorney general of the Department of Justice. In a recent memoir, Friends in High Places, Hubbell wrote that Clinton told him, "Webb ... if I put you over at Justice, I want you to find the answers to two questions for me. One, who killed JFK? And two, are there UFOs?" "He was dead serious," added Hubbell. "I had looked into both but wasn't satisfied with the answers I was getting."

The president and his top appointee in the Justice Department can't get a straight answer? Who's in charge?

Following Hubbell’s disclosure, Dr. Steven Greer, director of the Center for the Study of Extraterrestrial Intelligence (CSETI), revealed that in 1993 he gave a three-hour briefing on the reality of UFOs to then-CIA director Admiral James Woolsey. Greer said Woolsey was stymied in his attempts to verify Greer's information and was unable to obtain the relevant documents in CIA files.

When it comes to this nation's deepest, darkest secrets, it appears there are powers even higher than the president of the United States and the director of the Central Intelligence Agency.

back to reading...

Mostly because I like a full bookshelf...

http://book-case.kroupnov.ru/pages/library/library.htm

mostly Russian, which I don't read, but Zap and perhaps others do...
a few English titles in there as well. Some Chomsky, some Brzezinski, and a Denis Fahey (Waters Flowing Eastward). I haven't read any of them, so just tossing them out here as a FWIW...

Need more reading material? This looks like a good source for a lot of links for online books... some of them may be pretty far out there, who knows?
