1947: CIA created
1948: Italy (disruption of elections to prevent communist party gains)
------ Operation Mockingbird begun sometime in the late 40's
1953: Iran (Mohammed Mossadegh deposed, Shah of Iran installed)
------ MK-Ultra mind control experiments begun this same year
1954: Guatemala (democratically elected Jacob Arbenz deposed in a coup - Arbenz proposed nationalizing Rockefeller owned United Fruit Company - over 100,000 Guatemalans will die over the next 40 years at the hands of subseguent dictorial regimes)
1954-58: North Vietnam (series of attempts to overthrow the communist regime fail)
1957 - 1973: Laos (continuous coup attempts and other dirty tactics culminate in a massive bombing campaign at the end of the Vietnam war)
1959: Haiti (100,000 Haitians will die under US backed "Papa Doc" and "Baby Doc" Duvalier)
1961: Bay of Pigs (Cuba)
------ Equador (CIA replaces President Jose Velasco with Carlos Arosemana)
------ Congo (Patrice Lumumba assassinated - 4 years of turmoil will follow)
1963: Dominican Republic (democratically elected Juan Bosch overthrown in a military coup)
------ Equador (Arosemana, who the CIA installed two years before, is overthrown in a coup)
------ Iraq (military coup installs Ba'ath party. Saddam Hussein, who was involved in the CIA led operation, will later take control of the party)
1964: Brazil (Joao Goulart replaced by military junta in a coup, General Branco will create latin America's first CIA trained death-squads)
1965: Indonesia (Sukarno deposed by military coup, over half a million are killed by General Suharto's forces with CIA and US diplomatic cooperation)
------ Congo/Zaire (Mobutu Sese Seko installed by military coup)
1967: Greece (government overthrown 2 days before elections, infamous "reign of colonels" will follow for 6 years)
1968: Bolivia (CIA led operation captures Che Guevara, Bolivian government executes him)
1970: Cambodia (Prince Sahounek overthrown, replaced by US backed Lon Nol, who's unpopular policies will pave the way for the Kmer Rouge rise to power)
1971: Bolivia (President Juan Torres overthrown, dictator Hugo Banzer installed - widescale torture and murder of political opponents will follow)
1973: Chile (democratically elected Salvador Allende overthrown in a coup, General Augusto Pinochet installed - Pinocet's reign will be one of the most murderous in history)
1975: Angola (as per plans hatched by Henry Kissinger, CIA backs Jonas Savimbi, polarizing the country. Over 300,000 will die in the resulting turmoil over the next decade)
1979: Afghanistan (US backed Mujahedeen rebels entice the Soviet Union to invade, launching a decade-long war)
------ Niceragua (Sandinistas are elected, remnants of the US-backed dictator Samoza's hated National Guard will become the CIA-backed CONTRAS)
1980: El Salvador (US support increased as CIA-trained death squads begin terrorizing the country)
1989: Panama (US invades, arrests Noriega, a CIA trained asset who had fallen out of favor)
1991: Iraq (formerly US backed Hussein falls out of favor as well - Gulf War ensues)
