So I'm researching a side activity, and come upon Google Trends (I'm looking for keyword toosl). I wanted to know what the graphs scale was, because it wasn't obvious to me yet.
So I clicked into the Disucussion Group and the top post is 'Trends' as a campaign feedback tool which I click as this is a side business I'm working on and I'm thinking "Ad Campaign" not RP08 campaign. And I find this post: QUOTE (Google) To Whom is concerned: GOOGLE YOU CAN HELP US! I am a Ron Paul 08' organizer from Asheville, NC. I have been working directly with 1500 other head organizer from around the country in the last few months to streamline our very grassroots campaign. One of the general strategies that is being employed and has shown great success is based on an ideology that our canidate does not need to be sold to people. Rather, Ron sells himself if people will only take a minute to listen or watch videos of him. As this seems to be the case, instead of merely creating tens of thousands of signs that say 'VOTE RON' we are only asking people to 'GOOGLE RON PAUL' in an approach to be less forceful and more transparent. As a result, the last 2 months of our national campaign has caused quite a stir on the internet both on google and on YouTube. We know this is happening; but to the extent and geographically where this activity is happening is beyond our abilities to track. This is where Google can help us! Google Trends is EXACTLY the tool we need to track and effectively create a campaign feedback loop that lets us know quantity and location of searches for 'Ron Paul'. The only problem is that Trends is still experimental and lacks the ability to report on searches day- to-day or week-to-week. From what I am seeing, Trends is only currently showing results that are dated 3-4 months; excluding of course 'Hot Trends'. As you can imagine, if organizers around the country could use a 'Google Trends' that can report accurately and up to date search results by volume and city we would have an extremely powerful feedback tool. The best part is that essentially this would help any canidate who is embracing the world wide web to help spread their message. Only you guys can help us... we badly need an update for 'Trends' that can show us yesterday's or even last weeks search trends. Thank You. Man I'm telling you chit is strange some times... Please spread and support the Ron Paul Campaign. It may be this countries only hope.
