Here is additional information:

http://kurier.at/chronik/oesterreich/austr...rung/69.912.159

There were two incidents of aircraft vanishing from Radar. The first one was considered linked with a NATO exercise in Hungary which included an attack on transponders, but should have been limited to military aircraft. It was believed that one of the operators did more than what was planned.

During the second on 10 June, no such exercise has been done near enough to cause a transponder blackout in Germany, Austria and Czech Rep.

The article communicates the very clear opinion by air traffic personnel that the blackouts were actively made, and believe that only USA, Russia, China and India would be in a position to do so.

Air traffic controllers applied an emergency program to make direct contact with cockpits and keep the aircraft on distance to each other.

Kind regards
