Topic Introduction

Ali Mohammed was an officer in the Egyptian military until he was kicked out for his connections to Egyptian Islamic Jihad (based in Sudan).  From there he took an American wife and emigrated to the US where he joined the US Army, rising to the rank of Seargent.  Then he started getting busy... for at least 5 years during the mid 90’s Mohammed simultaneously was a chief lieutenent in al-Qaeda (one of his responsibilities was arranging security for Osama bin Laden - he also allegedly  helped case out the African embassies that were bombed in 1998), training al-Qaeda recuits and green berets in special-ops tactics for the CIA, and  most probably also did work as an informant for the FBI.  During this time he constantly travelled between Sudan, Afghanistan and the US.  He was finally arrested and convicted for his part  in the African embassy bombings, but dissapeared before his sentencing.  (!???)

Ali Mohammed’s story is a window into the actual relationship between the US and al-Qaeda, and the true nature of America’s “war on terror”.

QUOTE
Mohamed was a U.S. Army sergeant, FBI operative and possible CIA asset, who, on the side, was a friend to Osama bin Laden, trained the leader's bodyguards, was instrumental in killing Americans and was the middle-man in an historic and vile union between bin Laden's forces and the Lebanese Hezbollah...

...Lance points an accusing finger at celebrated U.S. attorney Patrick Fitzgerald, who directed the FBI's elite bin Laden squad, which, Lance argues, allowed Mohamed to remain an active al-Qaida agent.
