I recieved a nice PM from a poster who is also interested in the subject of the "dragon bloodline" (for lack of a better word). I thought, since it might be nice for that thread to retain some continuity, I'd open this up for comments or thoughts.

I was reading your Dragon thread today, great stuff. I was wondering if the Dragon mythology was part of cultures that originated in the Southern hemisphere, Since the constellation Dracus can't be seen down here. ?

Not that I know. There's a hole in fact in the sky-pantheon of original constellations, a part of the sky that whoever affixed names and stories to the stars could not see. I think I left a link to an article that shows how scientists have used this information to deduce that whoever first fixed the original constellations had to have lived at a latitude consistent with Sumer. (This, combined with first Cuneiform tablets being Sumerian, led me to assume that "modern civilization" sprang from there, which it might have. But then I ran across the Romanian tablets from Tartaria that appear to predate the Sumarian cuneiform tablets so I've revised my thinking.)
You might be interested to know that there are some finds in Peru that have been sort of ignored by the scientific community. Here's a little piece about it. http://www.stevequayle.com/Giants/S.Am/Royal.Incas.html I have no idea if these people are connected in anyway to the communities in the northern hemisphere that I've been talking about, or if Phoenicians (the early masters of the sea) might have travelled there to get gold, or if the culture of the ancient Incas this guy is talking about included any dragon myths ... but certainly they couldn't see draco from Peru. Sanders, have you heard about this?
Knights Templar heirs in legal battle with the Pope The heirs of the Knights Templar have launched a legal battle in Spain to force the Pope to restore the reputation of the disgraced order which was accused of heresy and dissolved seven centuries ago. Relates to this: Vatican paper set to clear Knights Templar |

I had heard that, but didn't know anything about it. Thanx for the link. My question is, why now!?? What's it been, like, 700 years!?

(IMG:http://pilotsfor911truth.org/forum/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) What's with the eye all the time? Horus and his eye, Odin trading an eye for wisdom, Dagobert II getting stabbed through the eye, that one on the dollar bill ... Here's lookin' at ya - Here's something I found in my fractal travels Sanders. I think it strangely somehow belongs here in this thread, but that's your call. http://wallpapr.fractalfairy.com/Louise/Dragons_Eye.jpg (IMG:http://wallpapr.fractalfairy.com/Louise/Dragons_Eye.jpg) |

Well, it is somewhat interesting that they decided to call that graphic the "dragon's eye". I'll put aside my doubts as to how much of that was generated by fractals ... and focus on it's similarity to the eye in the movie based on Tolkien's Ring trilogy.
dMole, I moved that post over here to 'Dragon Thread Discussion' more so I and others could talk about this freely without pulling that thread off-topic. To be honest, I'm attempting to build a case ... that thread is more than anything a way for me to document research I've been doing as I work on a somewhat bigger project. (Lately I've taken a break.) Anyway, that "dragon eye" made me want to mention Tolkien, but I'm no where near prepared to tackle that subject in a comprehensive way, and so I don't want to clog up that thread with superficial observations. You've noticed that I reference John's Ladon-Gog writings a lot. I'm not on the same page as he with regard to religious prophesy, and I've tried to keep such things out of my thread. But aside from that slant, John to me is the holy grail of dragon-blood research, excuse the pun. Unfortunately, he's over my head most of the time and I've really had to work hard to get up to speed enough to even read his chapters with any level of comprehension. If you dive into one of those chapters, even the early ones, you'll see what I mean. There are a couple of lines of inquiry I need to tackle. One, is a Bavarian-Hun connection (and the Merovingians might tie into it too). When the Merovingians were sidelined I am convinced many of them wound up in the area of Bohemia and Moravia. This is very close to both Bavaria and Hungary, and Sigismund I, Holy Roman Emperor, who claimed Merovingian blood, who ruled Hungary at the time, created the Order of the Dragon. Add to that the fact that Bohemia/Bavaria was a hot bed of Masonic/Illuminati (the real Illuminati) activity, Rothschild involvement in that, the HUN symbol of the bundle of arrows on their crest and logo and the connection between the Bauer/Bower names and the country of Bavaria, not to mention the Hungarian-Scot connection and the way the Drummonds and Rothschilds conspired to siphon money out of the English treasury during the Revolutionary War (Drummonds are descendents of Andrew and George of the Hungarian Arpad line) - I think there is a basis there to pull many loose ends together, but the work has to be done. There is one other seductive tidbit I've run across, Attila the Hun, from whom the Arpads descended, is rumored to have been a direct descendent of Woden. This would really be something if there was anything out there other than just legend and rumor, because of the alliance between Yaroslav, who offered assylum to Margaret and her family and who was a Varangian Viking himself, and the Hungarian Arpads. But unfortunately the Huns didn't leave written records and I fear it can only be speculated on. The other line of inquiry I need to try and tackle, is the "red dragon", or the Welsh branch of the dragon line. I think this may be very important. The Morgans are Welsh, but more importantly, it is this branch that gives us the Arthur legends and the story of the Holy Grail. There's a lot of writing about this on the web of course, but I'm not sure how useful much of it is. What has to be done is to sort out how the legends correspond to reality. John talks quite a bit about the Arthurian legends in his book, but so much of it is over my head. I really just need to hunker down and sort through it all. Which brings me finally back around to topic, the Ring Trilogy. This is ALSO undoubtedly an important piece of fiction based on the dragon-blood lines, written, as are the Arthurian legends and the Greek myths, in code. John has written about this aspect as well, but again, much of it is over my head and the clues are strewn out in passing over many of his chapters. |
