QUOTE (Kesha @ Nov 18 2007, 02:40 PM) QUOTE (Oceans Flow @ Nov 18 2007, 09:19 PM) To be honest, we should be careful about what we say in this public thread, folks. :ph43r: Ehh... Why? Someone is trying to sell a Boeing which s/n indicates that it has been used as a weapon in a mass murder. Ok... I`m from Europe and nobody will punish me here... but asking simple and logical questions should be allowed, even in the US. Kesha It's probably too late, because they know we know about this airplane. It's likely been hidden in a hanger under heavy guard and will be destroyed. Still someone on the inside may be sympathetic and manage to take some pictures. |

Nice digs Kesha. Google is still the best tool every developed. It's just too bad it won't go back in time.
So, did the seller say the repairs have been done or just plan to be done. And you found evidence showing the bird to be still fatally wounded and damaged. Sounds like some kind of fraud sale. Book him. |

Well it doesn't really change a thing, and it looks like the serial number listed is a typo, so it probably doesn't mean squat.

The engine fire during a maintenance run up on N330AA occurred on 6/2/2006, serial number 22330.
N330AA was totaled as a result of the damage. As of today, N330AA is still listed in the American Airlines system as unassigned at LAX. |

There are only two likely possibilities here.
1.Individuals are trying to sell a non-airworthy 767, which should be big news in the mainstream media and to the traveling public. I cannot see the managers of a corporation like AMR exposing themselves to the liability associated with selling a totaled 767 in a manner that allows the aircraft to fly again and endanger the public. 2.Individuals are involved in an elaborate disinformation scheme. He told me that the repair is already done. The insurence paid for the incident and instead of just replacing some fan blades and other parts, he said he ordered 2 new engines and the entire left wing directly at Boeing and replaced the old ones. He also told me that the complete maintanance history is well documented. I wait if he will send me the data he got as he promised me. So, don't scare him away. Carl |

If Chowdry produces documentation for 22330, it is not necessarily conclusive evidence. Documents can be forged and fabricated or perhaps the documents he produces are, in fact, the documents for 22330. If IMP/Atlas were attempting to put 22332 back into operation, they would use the identity of an aircraft that was headed for the boneyard (or the Pacifc Ocean for that matter).
A much more conclusive piece of evidence would be proof that 22330 is still disabled, unpainted and sitting at LAX. This is much easier to obtain, imho. If 22330 is currently sits unrepaired, Chowdry/Atlas could be charged with fraud, just for starters. -Culhavoc |

Kesha,
Yes, I saw Ricochet's post. I'm just curious when AviationSafety's' db record on N330AA was last updated. I posed that question in the other forum, no reply yet. As of now, all data (minus Chowdry's reply to Bank) points to N330AA still sitting at LAX. 2 more nails in the coffin would be a recorded phone interview with someone at LAX and current photos of the damaged bird. -Culhavoc |

While there has been merely a handfull of participants on this thread, the number of views is outstanding. LINK
If there is anything of value to this, time is our enemy. This task requires someone to pay a visit to LAX, pronto. Otherwise, N330AA, if it still sits at LAX, will disappear in no time. |

According to this .pdf (line no. 166 / page 6)
http://www.edinavtn.co.uk/assets/files/PDFs/B767.pdf N330AA (SN 22330) , damaged by uncontained engine fire - Los Angeles is "Written Off". Chowdry didn't tell me this, but he told me, he got an interested possible buyer in a Swiss based airline that wants to use the plane for flights in or to India. When I asked him to name the company, he said, he just know the name of the one who he spoke to and named it. Unfortunately, due to his strong eastern european accent and the fact that he was stressed & driving while speaking ("It is 4 o clock in Washington and I am driving home right now. Have you ever been to the Washington rush hour in November?!"), I didn't get it properly. But I did some research on him and it is interesting to know, that he is the heir of Michael Chowdry who founded 'Atlas Air' and made it to the Forbes 400. A affiliated company of Atlas Air is 'Polar Air Cargo' - Amnesty International mentiones this comp. in their Report about the CIA kidnappings "Below The Radar". The former CEO of Polar Air Cargo, Farhood Azima, is related to the brothers Farhad and Farzin Azima who are still busy. In the 80ies, on behalf of the CIA and the ex.Shah, they smuggeled tons of rocket parts to Iran to free the US hostages in Lebanon and to prevent the Iran from a temporarily possible victory of Iraq. Any way, he didn't answer my email. Maybe it is too early, but I think the huge attention on the web scared him away and the plane is nothing he will discuss on the phone anymore. Or shall I call him again? no phone bill's too high 4: Carl |

Where are the serial numbers located on the plane? I would assume that the serial number is in various locations but when you're going to look for it where would you look first?

Or shall I call him again? no phone bill's too high 4: Carl My suggestion would be to contact the other posters (including those on the 911TruthMovement and LooseChange forums) who have also tried to get in touch with Mr Chowdry and plot a co-ordinated strategy together, so you don't step on each others' toes, otherwise little will be accomplished, methinks. But then what do I know? A real (open-minded) investigative journalist is what's required here, someone who could easily get to where the plane is and *investigate*. Perhaps one of you know such a person, and can discreetly get this info to them. It doesn't matter who breaks this story (if in fact this is AA11), just that it gets broken, right? |

QUOTE Tail. The serial number is incoperated into the tail number? Or is the serial number prominent on the tail where you can read it easily? |
