Quick questions: Would a plane at 7000 feet attract much attention on a city street?
On 911 when there was a lot of confusion, buildings being evacuated, sirens blaring? On a city street where your view was somewhat obstructed by tall buildings? |

Where is it claimed that the airplane is at 7000 in the above video? It looks more like 2500 climbing through 3000..... To answer Kawika's question... no 'plane' at 7000 feet would attract attention from people on the ground.. unless they were looking up.... and the skies were clear... Most departing aircraft from an airport which are sensitive to noise, are routed toward less populated areas until above 3000 feet.... instructed to climb at an increased rate above standard.... or instructed to reduce thrust (and therefore noise) until above 3000 feet... An example (just a quick search i did).... http://www.b737mrg.net/downloads/b737mrg_noise.pdf |
