Some of the cards in the "Illuminati Card Game" are somewhat prophetic - there is a card about an oil spill - I'm not saying this means anything - just odd.

The initial news stories simply reported that the Secret Service had raided a suspected ring of hackers. Gradually, the true story emerged. More than three years later, a federal court awarded damages and attorneys' fees to the game company, ruling that the raid had been careless, illegal, and completely unjustified. Electronic civil-liberties advocates hailed the case as a landmark. It was the first step toward establishing that online speech IS speech, and entitled to Constitutional protection . . . and, specifically, that law-enforcement agents can't seize and hold a BBS with impunity. Per Wikipedia - link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Jackson_Games Illuminati, a game of competing conspiracies, based largely on the Illuminatus! Trilogy by Robert Anton Wilson. * Originally published in microgame format followed by three numbered expansions. Later published in a full-sized box with expansions 1 and 2 as Deluxe Illuminati. Expansion 3 would later be reprinted as Illuminati: Brainwash. * Illuminati: Y2K - all-card expansion for Deluxe Illuminati * Illuminati: Bavarian Fire Drill - all-card expansion for Deluxe Illuminati # Illuminati: New World Order (INWO), the collectible card game based on concepts in Illuminati. * INWO Subgenius - expansion based on Church of the Subgenius concepts which can also be played stand-alone. # Illuminati Crime Lords, a mafia-based variation on Illuminati which combines gameplay elements of the original Illuminati and INWO. Another link (for viewing these 1995 cards) Wonder what the German cards state (page 2, 3, 4) ....
The Vatican (Pope) card uncannily resembles the current Pope (perhaps an updated version). Some of these cards are very amusing (despite being dated, the 80's + era) - Gordo Remora is a treasure (Rush Limbaugh and Geraldo Rivera morphed into one-- "dittoheads") - and the "agent in place" card - of a fast food (undercover) worker, hmmm wonder if the creator of these cards knows my local area - the name of the restaurant on the cap is the name of a local popular fast food eatery. Some of these cards are not so funny (page 20) - I "liked" the "sucked dry and cast aside". Might make an unusual Xmas or other gift. http://www.hollywoodinsiders.net/dark/imag...cardgame_1.html This post has been edited by nitatutt: Aug 22 2010, 04:24 PM |

Interesting stuff.
It does often seem that things are almost scripted...... (IMG:http://pilotsfor911truth.org/forum/style_emoticons/default/pilotfly.gif) |
