I went over parameters to see if any indications show abnormal to suggest a pole impact between :43-:44 since we know that the aircraft was over poles 1 and 2 prior to :44.
So far this is what i have.. Bleed Duct Pressure - normal/nochange Engine RPM - normal (no indication of rollback) AC Bus Volts - normal/no change Left/Right Fuel pumps - High Pressure (no change) Fuel Tank Density all tanks - normal trend (doesnt show puncture) Engine EGT - Normal/Nochange Engine gen - OK/ON Engine EPR - High/No Change Engine Fuel Flow - High/No Change (No leak) Engine Oil Pressure - Normal Engine N2, N3 - No change Engine Oil Press, Temp, Quantity - Normal/No Change Engine Vibration - Normal/No change (engine shows more vibration during take off) Engine Out (off) - False (its running) Fan Inlet Temp - No change Filter Vibration - No change Hydraulic Pumps - normal/no change Hydraulic Pressure - Normal/No Change Master Warning - On (Corresponds with Overspeed warning) Thats it. As you can see, there are no indications throughout the above parameters that the airplane hit pole 1 or 2. All indications are normal Engine indications are for both engines. |

This would mean that the airplane that this FDR was in,
did not hit the light poles. ...wonder if it hit anything at all... imo, lunk |

Engine N2, N3 - No change That suggests a three spool engine which, I think, means Rolls-Royce RB211-535E4 or Rolls-Royce RB211-535E4B as I think the P&W 2000 series are two spool. Correct me if I am wrong but this diagram of a P&W: Flight cut way Diagram of a P&W 2000 series suggests a twin spool. Could be worth keeping in mind when looking at 'official pictures' of plane debris, you know that stuff brought in special from a bone yard somewhere. I just graphed the N1, N2, and N3 RPM columns for the NTSB-provided SSFDR data (after 09:15:00 EDT). Here is the chart: http://flickcabin.com/public/view/19000 Although it looks difficult to locate specific ones, engine cutaways are available at O892's link: http://www.flightglobal.com/airspace/photo...ys/default.aspx Related threads are at: Final AA77 SSFDR Parameters Per NTSB: Analysis, Overview, and Review http://pilotsfor911truth.org/forum//index....showtopic=16066 Jet Engines http://pilotsfor911truth.org/forum//index....showtopic=13951 |
