The federal government is making an unusual proposal. It's suggesting allowing food manufacturers to inject a cancer-fighting drug into fried goodies to counteract a substance in the foods that may be carcinogenic.

Yum.

The main stream media sure like injecting drugs, eh?

Lets see what this drug does.

QUOTE
Asparaginase breaks down asparagine, an amino acid.
In leukemia patients, asparagine allows cancer cells to grow.
In food, asparagine is key ingredient in the production of acrylamide.

oh, i see,
a bad amino acid, that can form into a potential, but not proven, cancer causing agent, and this junk food additive, gets rid of it,
so it doesn't form, in frying junk food.
QUOTE
Asparaginase is destroyed in cooking so it's thought to have no impact on food or those who eat the foods

...is there any argument?

...but what happens if you don't get any asparagine,
or acquire an asparagine deficiency from eating too much,
perhaps, insufficiently fried junk-food injected with Asparaginase?

QUOTE
Deficiency symptoms of asparagine can lead to confusion, headaches, depression, irritability, or, in extreme cases, psychosis.

(good thing they have drugs for all these problems)

No more fried junk-
food for lunk.

(edit)added update

i had to post a comment on that article,
(i doubt that they will print it.)
hehe, so i will:

QUOTE
If, Asparaginase is safe, for human consumption,
because it is "thought" to be destroyed by cooking,
why is it "injected" into "fried" food?
Isn't that too late?
Who cooks already fried junk-food?

If Asparaginase (the food additive) that destroys an amino acid, that creates a possible carcinogen occurring, when fried, junk food, is cooked,
could it also destroy that same amino acid, in the human body, so a possible, but not proven, carcinogen, isn't created, if you are cooked?

The amino acid, asparagine, is essential for the proper functioning of the central nervous system in everybody!
An asparagine deficiency, will cause
confusion, dizziness and psychosis.
(and probably a craving for more fried junk-food)
