What Does Adq Stand For: Kodiak, Alaska Airport?

Google is impossible now. ADQ is something to sell, not an airport! heheheh

FAA site is no help!

ADQ? Alaska Department of Quartz? hehehe

ADQ is simply the code for the Kodiak airport (like PDX is for Portland).

Oh yes I know that. I am just interested in what ADQ would stand for. Like Fresno is FAT. FAT=Fresno Air Terminal
GEG=Spokane-Geiger Field.


The only thing I can find is that ADQ means Avion Taxi. (Air Taxi) and that would make sense.
