oy vey. too many words.
religion isnt supposed to be about proof....its supposed to be about faith...isnt it? there is no hard evidence that moses, joshua, jesus, etc....ever existed. they make great characters for some great stories that tell valuable lessons..but thats it. yet it doesnt matter. because religion is about faith...not evidence or proof. |

To say there is no hard evidence ofr the fact that Jesus and other prophets lived in
plain wrong. There is plenty of evidence. Can we begin with shroud of Turin. How about the collective testimony of entire generations. There is ancient graffiti in Jerusalem that denounces Jesus. The list is far to long for me to continue. |

the shroud of turin is a fake. as is the spear of destiny, the holy grail, the corination stone in scotland, the holy face cloth, etc etc. these items were created to strengthen christains faith...and they have done a wonderful job.
the faith of millions is not evidence of a religion being fact or fiction. millions believed that the earth was flat and the center of the universe..until the 1500s. fact is fact...whether it is accepted by a million people...or five people. as to "How about the collective testimony of entire generations" did thousands of jews write about jesus' miracles? did thousands of jews write about jesus' speaches? no. the oldest writings we have are the gospels and the books of josephus. thats 5 people. if i was a jew back then and i saw a guy do miracles..your damn right i would right it down...and i would urge my neighbors to do the same. i admit that there is evidence that jesus did exist. but is there evidence of his miracles and divinity? no. thats called faith. |
