CUMBERLAND, Md. -- Disgraced lobbyist Jack Abramoff, convicted of federal charges after using expensive gifts, campaign donations and exotic trips to win access to the powerful in Washington, went to prison Wednesday.
Abramoff arrived at about 6:30 a.m. EST at a relatively secluded prison facility in western Maryland and began to serve a nearly six-year prison sentence for a fraudulent deal to buy a fleet of casino ships in Florida. http://www.newsday.com/news/nationworld/wi...world-headlines |

Yeah, I think the prison they refer to is about 20 miles from my home, in an area called Hagerstown, Maryland.
Maybe I'll stop by with a carton of cigarettes just to see how he's doing now and again. Not really. |

Unfortunately, Abramoff's jailing will slow down the investigation into CONgressional corruption. There are from 6 to 8 DEMOCRATIC senators who are supposed to be implicated by Casino Jack's testimony. Them and Karl Rove that is. LOL I hope Casino Jack gets to burn 'em all. Nothing like getting "religion" while in jail to roll over on everybody.
