Oliver Stone suggests Hitler is 'easy scapegoat'
Oliver Stone, the controversial film director, is facing another backlash after suggesting that Hitler was made an "easy scapegoat" by history. By Nick Allen in Los Angeles Published: 6:09PM GMT 10 Jan 2010 Oliver Stone at the Television Critics Association press conference in California. Photo: Phil McCarten/Reuters Stone, who has previously been accused of promoting conspiracy theories and glorifying violence in his films, has made a new documentary series which he says will place historical figures including Hitler and Stalin "in context". In the trailer for "The Secret History of America" the director says: "You cannot approach history unless you have empathy for the person you may hate." "Hitler is an easy scapegoat throughout history and it's been used cheaply. He's the product of a series of actions. It's cause and effect," he said. The director claimed many people in America did not understand the connection between the First World War and the Second World War and said his intention was to broaden minds, delving into the funding of the Nazi party and how American corporations were involved in it. Stone said he did not want to make an "easy" history programme and talked about trying to understand people he despises. His series will aim to uncover little reported facts that shaped the modern United States. Professor Peter Kuznick, the lead writer on the series, said the programme would not portray Hitler in a more positive light, but would describe him as a historical phenomenon rather than "somebody who appeared out of nowhere". Stone has courted controversy before, most notably in his film JFK which suggested a high level conspiracy to assassinate President Kennedy. He has also polarised opinion with controversial films about President George W Bush, and Fidel Castro, the former Cuban leader. Stone said his latest series would show history from an internationalist, rather than an American, point of view. That included a "complete other story" about how Stalin had fought against the German war machine more than anyone. The director said he fully expected to face a backlash from conservative pundits. He said: "Obviously, Rush Limbaugh is not going to like this history and, as usual, we're going to get those kind of ignorant attacks." Stone, 63, who won Oscars for directing Platoon and Born on the Fourth of July, also won a Purple Heart for his own military service in Vietnam. Hopefully Mr Stone will be addressing the Hitler/Bush connection.
http://www.the7thfire.com/bushPrefaceTC.htm QUOTE In October 1942, ten months after entering World War II, America was preparing its first assault against Nazi military forces. Prescott Bush was managing partner of Brown Brothers Harriman. His 18-year-old son George, the future U.S. President, had just begun training to become a naval pilot. On Oct. 20, 1942, the U.S. government ordered the seizure of Nazi German banking operations in New York City which were being conducted by Prescott Bush.

And while he's at it, he should ask a few questions about that Silesian-American Corporation...and about Prescott's coal mines in Poland... http://www.scribd.com/doc/23721484/Heir-to...ewish-Holocaust |

Right now I am reading up on the involvement of US elites with the Nazi movement. It is even more extensive than the Bush family. For example the Rockerfeller foundation, and I think others, were involved in early German eugenics programs. A book "Trading with the Enemy" documents collaboration between US and German corporations well into WWII. There is also a documented plot to convince Smedly Butler a US Marine General to overthrow the FDR government by some of the same elites.
The Stone project has potential but only if it exposes all of it. If it just turns into a Bush bashing piece. it wont really help, IMO. |

As someone pointed out earlier, Stone's WTC movie was a big dissapointment. There is not much point in discussing Hitler without discussing his financial and philosophical backers because the man did not spring up in a vacuum. We'll see what happens but I won't hold my breath in the meantime.... |

Oliver Stone Says Banksters “Enabled” Hitler and the Nazis
http://www.prisonplanet.com/oliver-stone-b...ped-hitler.html Kurt Nimmo Prison Planet.com Tuesday, January 26, 2010 QUOTE Filmmaker Oliver Stone has told The Canadian Press that international bankers “enabled” Hitler and the Nazis. “Adolf Hitler was a psychopath and a monster but rose to power thanks to big business leaders and other supporters who appreciated his vow to destroy communism and control workers, Hollywood filmmaker Oliver Stone said Monday,” in Bangkok, Thailand, writes Michael Casey. Stone left out a few important details. Not only did the banksters support and encourage Hitler and the Nazis, they also created from scratch the communism the German dictator vowed to destroy. Without the support of the German industrial cartel I.G. Farben, Hitler would have remained an obscure historical footnote and millions of people would not have perished during the Second World QUOTE Farben, however, was not alone in its effort to empower Hitler and the Nazis. “Without the capital supplied by Wall Street, there would have been no I.G. Farben in the first place, and almost certainly no Adolf Hitler and World War II,” writes Antony C. Sutton in Wall Street and the Rise of Hitler. “German bankers on the Farben Aufsichsrat (the supervisory Board of Directors) in the late 1920s included the Hamburg banker Max Warburg, whose brother Paul Warburg was a founder of the Federal Reserve System in the United States.” The Farben industrial cartel was created by three Wall Street houses: Dillon, Read & Co., Harris, Forbes & Co., and National City. In the 1930s, William Dodd, the U.S. Ambassador in Germany, wrote Roosevelt from Berlin and explained the importance of the banksters and American industrialists in this “enabling” process. “The DuPonts have their allies in Germany that are aiding in the armament business. Their chief ally is the I.G. Farben Company,” wrote Dodd. In addition to the DuPonts, Standard Oil, International Harvester, J.P. Morgan-controlled General Motors Company and Ford facilitated Germany’s rearmament after the First World War. International Telephone and Telegraph, General Electric, International Business Machines, Alcoa and Dow Chemical were also involved. Many of these companies continued their support of Hitler and the Nazis after the United States declared war on Germany. when i was traveling in post war germany, when in munchen, i would stay at the vier jahreszeiten on the maximillianstrasse.
in the day, the thule society[fritz thyssen's creation] had its offices on the mezzanine. it was thyssen's thule society that created adolf and the nazis. odd, i thought, that in 1978, the thule society continued to exist. continued to have its offices on the mezzanine floor of that hotel. odder still, i wager that it continues to office on that floor, in that hotel. |

What happened with the Japanese side of the "experiment" involves some pretty amazing whitewashing too. Look at the case of unit 731 and General Ishii Shiro, the monster that instead of being hung ended up working for Uncle Sam until age 67.
Like the banksters Shiro's work was invaluable before and after WW2. http://www.theage.com.au/articles/2002/08/...0508070534.html QUOTE [edit] Immunity Arrested by the American occupation authorities at the end of World War II, Ishii and Unit 731 leaders received immunity in 1946 from war-crimes prosecution before the Tokyo tribunal in exchange for germ warfare data based on human experimentation. On 6 May 1947, Douglas MacArthur wrote to Washington that "additional data, possibly some statements from Ishii probably can be obtained by informing Japanese involved that information will be retained in intelligence channels and will not be employed as 'War Crimes' evidence."[4] The deal was concluded in 1948.[5] Ishii was never prosecuted for any war crimes. According to Richard Drayton, a Cambridge University history lecturer, Ishii later moved to Maryland where he conducted research into bio-weapons.[5] But according to Ishii's daughter Harumi, he stayed in Japan,[6] where he died of throat cancer at the age of 67.[7] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shiro_Ishii There are some really bad bastards out there with immunity, while the honest person will get their front door kicked in for posting a letter without a stamp. Oliver's role is controlled leakage for the masses. |
