when you say 'here' are you talking about the united states? because if so, thats incorrect. thats what the agents of jonestown ran around the net posting after a scripted caller to jonestown made that statement.

truth is the only person buying all this up was alex jones, not the government. and he doubled the price and spread a bunch of panic over it.

i'll call up some pharmacies and see if they are available, here in Canada, yet.
from what i've heard, from pharmacies, is that the government bought
up a stockpile from their suppliers, and advised pharmacies not to sell them to the public, because there was little danger of radiation from Japan.

potassium iodide doesn't do any good after receiving a dose of radioactive iodine 131, it must be taken prior to contamination, for it to block uptake of radioactivity to the thyroid gland.

(update) i called the town pharmacy, no iodine.
None in the next town either.
The BC government bought up all the potassium iodide pills from the suppliers of the pharmacies, here on the west coast of Canada.
While instructing pharmacist not to sell any stock they still may have to the public.

The bc gov't buying up the KI pills from suppliers for stockpiling, is being kept quiet.

The remedy is held in the hand of the government, from the public.
