ShareThisNine killed in Iraq violence 11 Jul 2010 A spate of attacks has killed nine people in Iraq, mostly in capital Baghdad, against a backdrop of increasing violence in the city over the past days. At least five people, including three soldiers, were killed when a car bomb ripped through an army checkpoint in Ghazaliya district in western Baghdad, officials said. Meanwhile, in a hit and run attack in the northern city of Mosul, gunmen opened fire on policemen killing two on the spot, AFP reported.
