I should also add that most airline pilots monitor the company frequency on Comm 2 (the second radio).

So if you cant raise anyone on comm 1, try comm 2.

123.45 is also another good frequency to know and easy to remember. Many pilots use that frequency to gab on the radio when they are bored.
