http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leonardo_da_Vinci Anyhow, i took this image and cut it in half, reversed his right side and pasted it over his left. He used to write everything reversed backwards, so it makes sense that he would have incorporated this backwards stuff into his art, too. Pretty amazing self portrait: (IMG:http://i412.photobucket.com/albums/pp210/rongrite/leonardo3.jpg) Yes, i made this, myself. |

What is even funnier is I was readings "Lights" post at Mosque Madness and thought of Tom Hanks in the Da Vinci Code movie where the church murdered thousands of their own women.
Since 326 AD, the Christians hold the world record on killing. |

What is even funnier is I was readings "Lights" post at Mosque Madness and thought of Tom Hanks in the Da Vinci Code movie where the church murdered thousands of their own women. Since 326 AD, the Christians hold the world record on killing. Yes but remember the church of yesteryear, held the same power as the "experts" and unnamed "scientists" of today. Regardless, Leonardo da Vinci was recognized as a genius of his day. The thought here is that he used mirroring images, in his paintings, as well as his writings. He was totally studying human symmetry. It makes total sense to me that he would have hidden a real image of himself into an unflattering, self portrait of himself, with an exaggerated nose! Look at the reflected image of half his face. There is a depth, and intelligence, looking straight at you! The more i think about it the more i realize this was intentionally done and cleverly hidden, by the artist, and can be seen, with just a mirror. But look at this intense "look"! (IMG:http://i412.photobucket.com/albums/pp210/rongrite/leonardo3.jpg) The picture says it all! |
