how did you choose yours and what significance does it hold for you? The pencil of Captain Joseph Rutherford Walker is an original that has never been published. Captain Walker is one of those great men forgotten by history. http://www.josephrwalker.com/ |

I wish I had an avatar (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) If you agree that you are being “witty” and not “sarcastic”…then an “Avatar” is an “Oasis” that is an important source of replenishment. Our underground [hidden] person can reach the surface and permeate itself. In this fashion you push from the bottom…up! "The Road of the Interior Land" |

From GP's link:
QUOTE Then, later as they got closer in, they did something puzzling for a crew of neophyte hijackers. On their way down thru Flight Level 180, or 18 thousand feet, they magically, without having listened to the ATIS or automated terminal information service, broadcast from Dulles International Airport that morning, these guys somehow knew the barometric pressure reported on that automated broadcast though no controller passed that information to them, and they set that in the Kollsman window on BOTH of the cockpit altimiters, simultaneously. That’s not only clairvoyant, that’s SYNCHRONIZED knob twisting going on there, by any pilot’s standards. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) While I'll admit I haven't had my second cup of coffee this morning, but where did this come from? |

GP, I hope you didn't think my comment was anything negative about your post (I'm paranoid that way)...I was curious about the info he was presenting, as I've not seen that "description" before, and thought I'd toss it out to the brain trust here....
'cause my understanding was NO altimiter (sic) changes were made heading down thru FL180 This post has been edited by Rickysa: Mar 14 2012, 12:40 PM |

if knowledge is power and intellect or mental acumen is a form of strength, then the 1% have to, by necessity, prevent the 99% from gaining knowledge and learning how to think.

prevent the 99% from gaining knowledge and learning... Ground Pounder, Could you explain T & H and John Taylor Gatto? I do not trust donate or subscribe. I make money by recycling bottles and cans. All of my information is free because I want to make “My” point. If you would like a copy…then you must pay for the paper and ink. Knowledge and Intellect are 2 clicks below “Wisdom” and “Cognition”. EFP #1 tragedy and hope is the title of a book by carroll quigley. a worthy read. the website seems to be set-up by some folks with familiarity him and the connections. gatto is an ex schoolteacher from new york with good insight into the public school system. in the vids, he elucidates lots of connections. ok. free is good. yes and no. if time = money, then watching the 'free' youtube vid's or downloading 'free' docs, articles etc consume some of your time/money. maybe, maybe not. knowledge and intellect may be the two components of wisdom. whether they are the only two components can be debated. if you have the data and are unable to connect the dots, is the outcome for you the same as having the ability to connect and have no data? as for cognition, does that include pre-cognition or clear vision (clairvoyance)? |

as for cognition, does that include pre-cognition or clear vision (clairvoyance)? I think that Benjamin Franklin was talking about being productive and not lazy. To me, labor is money when I’m doing something for someone else. Education should be a hand on proposition or what I called applied learning. None of the answers on my “Masters” test were ever applied in the real world. This is why I believe in a masterpiece. As to clairvoyance, I do think a person can develop a “third-eye” however I do not see it as being a natural gift. I think a person must train themselves to look ahead…formed from experience. |

t-man, comical and depressing. i guess that's why 'comedy is tragedy made funny'. Looks like it's far more serious than i thought initially! The 'comical' aspect has disappeared it seems, and 'depressing' has instead increased markedly: http://www.reuters.com/article/2007/02/25/...M55127020070225 |
