mrM, thanks for the link. rickards is mostly ok, his call for a flat tax ain't the answer. taxing an already broke populace is just another match near the powderkeg...unless of course that's what you're looking for.

the other thing i think he misses on is the supposed 8000 tons of gold of the usa inc has. if i were a gambling man, i'd bet that was looted a while back. if the usa is a corporation, as so many assert, then the gold was taken in a leveraged buy-out.

and lastly, i don't know if he is being optimistic or naive about the 'demoncratic process', but has he not even looked at all the vote fraud going on??

GP - agreed on the Rickards question. I went through a phase where he was deified in my own mind, but I've gotten passed that. Like any of those guys, there are some nuggets of truth buried under the horseshit...you just have to clean it off. But for someone who is so clearly a genius, his faith is democracy and other fraudulent processes at this stage of the game is sheer naivete, like you said.

been following the MERS debacle for a while. it is one giant scam and what else could it be when the likes of citibank, fannie mae, freddie mac, gmac, which are all insolvent by the way, have their hands in it.

the titles for the properties can't be held by MERS (against its charter) and clear title probably can't be established since the whole MBS process is also a mess.

and lastly, i read somewhere that buying a foreclosed property may be a bad idea because the title is in limbo..so yeah, gonna be an interesting year.

fair question. never considered it seriously as it seemed a bit of a conundrum. how to have something simple that captures complexity that accurately conveys some intent that is consistent yet fluid. spent some clock cycles on it and still didn't come up with anything compelling. how did you choose yours and what significance does it hold for you?
