You may be pleased to hear that I have become an ardent admirer of you over the last few years.
Irish Television unfortunately has a huge deficit regarding media-personalities like yourself; although they try very hard these days to live up to the standards set by you and your colleagues.
But I have to admit that I never even heard about you before joining ‘Pilots for Truth’.

Since then, there has been many an occasion when your style and integrity left me breathless.

Take this for example:

In an unprecedented outburst on his Fox News show earlier this week, Glenn Beck identified the threat that we have been warning about for over a year, that the powers behind the Obama administration are preparing to stage a false flag event that will be blamed on its political opposition to derail the movement against big government.

That video is a truly brilliant piece of verbal diarrhoea designed to turn the concept of 'conspiracy-theories' on it's head... With a little help from Democratic Pollster Mark Penn, of course.

Which left me wondering: How do you do it…? Where do you get your inspiration from…?

When was the last time anyone heard of 16 or 17-year-olds taking part in some event that involves not just 'Fun and games', but also political discussions and a wee bit of thinking...?

And there you have a place were those youngsters were actively involved in discussions, in democracy.
More than eighty of them were butchered.
But- it was that which was hit as well: A group of people practising democracy...

Of course any similarities must be seen as sheer coincidence:

We both know that no self-respecting media figure of your calibre would ever stoop so low as to snoop around Websites like ‘Pilots for Truth’—considering that this is a place full of bullshit tinfoil-hat wearers, conspiracy-theorists and self-deluding idiots.

I realise therefore that you will of course never, ever read this post; but considering that your Tea-Party friends may well unleash the mother of all economical crises’ upon this world not long from now, I nevertheless thought I’d use the opportunity to express my sheer admiration to you-- before the electricity here in Ireland is switched off permanently…

Dear Mr. Beck;

I would like to apologise for my outburst above:

Not because I owe you anything: You are not even worth remembering.

But because a young man by the name of Ivar Benjamin Østebø from Norway-- one of those you had the tenacity to mention in one breath with the Hitler-Youth-- reminded me of the fact that I am not like you.

And for that I am grateful.
