This is a photo of the P-51 just before the crash

(and i agree paranoia, those pictures seem to be pretty sharp for an object moving at high speed.... i also find it odd that the Leeward Ranch website doesn't have a statement up as of yet) I did a course in photography (ages ago- can't remember half of it); but I think that effect is due to the cameras shutter-speed: The planes propellor appears to be standing still as well. My guess would be that the picture was taken by a professional photographer (...one with a pretty good reaction-time and a camera going "click-click-click-click-click"!) BTW- That Mustang looks as if it underwent some alterations? (Different canopy) Was that done to make it more suitable for racing...? |
