11 Killed In Coalition Raids In Iraq, Destroy Factory Used For Bomb Making Options

BAGHDAD, Iraq - Coalition forces killed 10 insurgents and an Iraqi civilian in three simultaneous raids north of Baghdad on Saturday and destroyed a factory used to make roadside bombs, the U.S. military said.


The civilian was a teenager fatally wounded in the fighting in the city of Taji, the site of a major U.S. air base. A pregnant woman also was hurt.

Coalition forces called in U.S. aircraft to destroy the factory after discovering rocket-propelled grenades, machine guns, anti-aircraft weapons and pipe bombs hidden there, the military said.
