Six weeks before the 9/11 terrorist attacks be obtained a 99 year lease on the World Trade Center complex for 3.2 billion, the first time in its 33-year history the complex had ever changed ownership. He insured it for 3.5 billion. He tried to get 7 billion back out of the deal, claiming that his complex was hit in two separate terrorist events, but the judge wouldn't buy it. |
