That's cool that they incorporated what I was talking about in one of my other posts and used it in reference to 9/11.
Good job! (IMG:http://pilotsfor911truth.org/forum/style_emoticons/default/thumbsup.gif) (IMG:http://pilotsfor911truth.org/forum/style_emoticons/default/salute.gif) |

Outstanding example of misdirection. I had to go back and watch the first part of the video. I couldn't believe how obvious it was. Watch it for yourself. I'm not going to give it away. Just follow the instructions given. You'll be amazed.

QUOTE (Guinan @ Jan 13 2007, 07:58 PM) WOW !! I must be a real sucker !! I didn't even see it the second time around... I doubt that very much. Everyone is just different. Some people see the "..." the first time. It depends on certain factors, as well. Are you tired or alert? How important is what you're watching to you? (in this case, it's just a thing to look at to see what's going on) I always complain that my sister is VERY unobservant. And, in general, this is true. Yet, under some circumstances, she will see something I do not. So there's a lot to it all. This 'game' mostly shows people something about human perception that is interesting and can help us understand some things. Like why 20 people at a car crash tell 8 different stories and give 5 different descriptions of the car that drove away. This is one of the reasons why things like that occur. I find stuff like this fascinating, and it is also good information to know to help me understand human nature and stuff like that. |

No you're not. After counting 14 passes from members of the white team (to other members of the white team, as I understood from the beginning) I watched it at least 5 more times and can't see any 'misdirection'. Sorry. The point might be, that a "pass" is only considered a "pass" if it goes from the white to the black team. I'm not in basket ball, but to my knowledge it is not considered a "pass" when you loose the ball to the other team, is it!? CC, you seem to understand what the "..." is. Can you explain??? Zap |

I was concentrating on the who passes the ball to whome thing. So it is obviousely easy to misdirect me... thx Zap This post has been edited by Sanders: Jan 14 2007, 08:00 AM |

Don't feel bad Zap. I didn't see "it" either the 1st time, as most of us here I think.
And I was actually sure and proud of myself that I counted correctly (IMG:http://pilotsfor911truth.org/forum/style_emoticons/default/doh1.gif) (IMG:http://pilotsfor911truth.org/forum/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) PS: Can you perhaps edit your post so it's not spoiled for others who might wanna take this test? |

OK guys, you had your laugh. (IMG:http://pilotsfor911truth.org/forum/style_emoticons/default/doh1.gif)
And I'll continue to be honest: I watched the video AGAIN now and for the 1st time beyond the point, where the insert says "this is called misdirection" (1:21) and where it reads: "When your attention is focused on the ball the '...' is hidden" (IMG:http://pilotsfor911truth.org/forum/style_emoticons/default/doh1.gif) once more! Conclusion: 1- It is better to read articles posts and stories and watch videos to the end before jumping to conclusions, if you don't want to miss some major points. 2- This ‘misdirection test’ has proved to be working perfectly. 3- Six idiots and one ‘…’ throwing balls at each other can ruin your reputation as a serious and determined researcher. (IMG:http://pilotsfor911truth.org/forum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG:http://pilotsfor911truth.org/forum/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) Zap |

QUOTE (Zapzarap @ Jan 14 2007, 03:09 AM) Zap One thing I've never heard in reference to this is, what does it say about one's concentration. If a person 'seriously' misses it, does that mean they have particularly strong powers of concentration? Are they able to focus on something without being distracted by other things? There must be a reason. I wonder about these kind of things. |
