Doubletree Video Tree Mystery Solved, Camera POV was specifically chosen Options

Hey all,

As most of you know, a lot of people were questioning whether the tree seen in the Doubletree security video was added into the photos to block the flyover...

...since no one could find a photo of that tree existing on, before, or shortly after 9/11. A lot of people questioned whether the tree existed or not, or was digitally added to the frame...

So I got tired of wondering about that tree in the video, and did not want another Conspiracy Theory getting out of hand.

So I decided to call the Doubletree and speak with engineering to find out who does the landscaping.

Turns out it is a company called the Brickman Group.

I contacted the rep at Brickman who handles the Doubletree account a really helpful guy named Todd Thompson.

I simply told him I am a journalist/documentary filmaker and wanted to determine validity of a doubletree security video, specifically the tree in it whether it was added or not. He told me they did a full landscaping job 4-5 years ago. But he couldn't remember whether they removed any trees or not.

So I sent him the still of the video with the date photoshopped out you see above, and told him the frame was early fall of 2001.

He wrote back and sent me some attachments.

Here is the landscape design and a photo of that area in 2002. The tree still there in 2002, but we did remove all of the trees in that planter when we did the renovation. Hope this helps, and good luck with your project.

Obviously this is probably Jan/Feb 2002 as there are no leaves on the tree. (Anybody needs a larger version, PM with your e-mail for the attachment Todd sent me)

So we now can surmise that they chose this location specifically and lied about the Sheraton and the Citgo cameras and video:

Can you expand on or define this for me, cause I'm not understanding the conclusion here?

In other words,

They had a perfect shot with the Sheraton. They removed the camera there and say no video exists.

They did the same thing with the Citgo.

My guess is prior to 9/11, they specifically chose this vantage point that they would release OR they went through all the videos and figured this was the best one to show because you can't see anything and the flyover is easier to hide or edit out.

My theory entirely.

i agree with you about doubletree hotel, remember what the FBI told about the release of the doubletree video:

"These DVDs were reproduced from cameras 1 - 9 and 11 comprising the Doubletree Hotel’s surveillance system. Originally, it was thought that the system contained eleven cameras; however, it was later determined that a camera was not connected to the #10 input of the system."

Makes sense to me, if they had actual video footage of the 757 impacting the Pentagon the MSM would have burnt it into our minds during their shock and awe campaign.
