Okay, check 'em out and compare... first footage for comparison begins at 1:38 on this archived link http://www.archive.org/details/fox5200109111938-2019
I had to go through it back and forth through this several times in order to get 6 distinctly different screenshots- all from the 1:38 second. It goes by very very quickly in other words. Now compare this with the footage broadcast beginning 20 seconds later, beginning at 1:58. Three birds practically stroll across the screen in the same impact time frame from apparently a very similar vantage point. I had no difficulty in grabbing 7 different screenshots in a single pass through- the third bird passes out of view around three seconds after the first one enters. So, based on timing by the explosion, the fps rate on the much clearer second footage looks to be 3x the first one. Why is this interesting at all? Well, the much clearer second footage doesn't get rid of the New York Attack on America picture interference until after the South tower is already exploding. No higher res. footage shown of the actual plane impact, in other words. I don't know if that was always the case when Fox broadcast that particular bit of footage, but it seems an interesting coincidence when juxtaposed within a 20 second or so bit of broadcast footage, no? Now, let's take a look at how good a couple of hi. res. undecompressed images from an amateur video can look shall we? These were apparently blown up from this video- kudos to Killtown's #18 entry on the plane crash video page for bringing that to my attention (comparison stills can be seen in this video as KT points out) http://media.twango.com/m1/original/0025/2...99e75fe252d.jpg http://media.twango.com/m1/original/0025/f...c7646c8ae8f.jpg This post has been edited by waterdancer: Apr 14 2007, 04:35 AM |

That same (Fox News) footage is apparently (as far as I can tell) shown twice in the first seconds of this youtube video...
the footage is #35 on KT's page http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l_MnCPxwKoY This post has been edited by waterdancer: Apr 14 2007, 05:43 AM |
