Interesting thread over at Democratic Underground. There is an anonymous poster that has been dubbed "Deep Modem" that has been occasionally showing up on blogs such as tpmmucracker.com -- there is a lot of back story here and you have to piece it together. I've been monitoring it but have no solid prediction one way or the other -- but it does have a certain 'sincerity' about it. May be just wishful thinking but I do think there are things going on that are not reported, even in the 'alternative' media. In any case, for your interest, go here:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discu...1684981#1685119

And note some of the posts by "redacted"

QUOTE
Deep Modem: "Now that the Justice department is finished with it's house cleaning, The rest of the deal Bush made to spare himself impeachment will begin. The Cheney resignation will be forth coming within the time frame I estimated last week. There are three weeks left on that clock. If you look through obscure posts from three weeks ago until last week, you will see my original predictions about Rove (perfectly timed) and Gonzales (also one week prior as stated) Deny my accuracy and attribute it to coincedence or guessing if you like, but within three weeks from this day the dark one falls. The deal has been made and the substance of it is out. I am not a mystic and do not own a crystal ball. I do however own many devices that are able to communicate messages through the air. These have been put to great use.. Cheney is next, and you heard it here first. AS I STATED WITH MY OTHER POSTS MARK THIS ONE! Do not talk of it, Just mark it! It will be a great remebrance!"

Id definatley say interesting. Combine it with all the recent news of an impending attack on Iran in short time and the news about the "mystery" investor buying a billion dollars worth of put options that the stock market crashes between now and Sept 21st, I'd say the next 3 weeks are worth keeping an eye on. Thnks for the link.

Just musing... if Dick "Darth Vader" Cheney resigns in three weeks (after the next 9/11 anniversary) what will the media reaction be to the obvious "blanket presidential pardon" for past war crimes including misprison of treason to the US Constitution.

A more important question is who will become the new vice president to replace him when he leaves to take back his Chairman and CEO position with Halliburton in their new headquarters in Dubai?

Could we have a new Vice President that will be in a greater position to win the election in 2008 from the White House for the Republicans, like for instance, Jeb Bush?

Imagine Hillary vs Jeb as the usual voter choice of the lesser of two evils that serve the same masters, which is NOT "We the People..."

I'm sure his replacement will be even worse.

yeah, trying to find the thread, funny stuff, his ninja army was ready to attack the illuminati if they did not respond to his ultimatum... (IMG:http://pilotsfor911truth.org/forum/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Who knows, that could be a cover for something else, if the stock market totally collapse like many predicts before the end of september, they are going to need more than just another neocon to keep the american people from revolting.

He needs to be impeached. Bush can't pardon an impeachment or pull the executive privilige bit if someone nabs Cheney to question him later on...and we'd better hope they will.

Very bizarre posts, Painter. You think you've stumbled over the new Deep Throat?

Actually, that's exactly what Gerry Ford did for Tricky Dick. Gave him a blanket presidential pardon for everything he did or may have done while president. Killed the impeachment proceedings going on at the time COLD.

Cheney resigns, Bush pardons him for whatever he may have done up to that point and DICK walks free. Bush can't pardon himself, that's all.

Fug! If I ever knew that, I'd forgotten it. Once the impeachment is set in motion, it should be too late for pardons. What about mass murder? I don't think the shrub can pardon that, can he?

On topic, did anyone find any more of no name's posts? Is "redacted" the same person? Sorry, I'm confused. (IMG:http://pilotsfor911truth.org/forum/style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) This is quite fascinating I want to read more.

Lizzy, a sitting president can pardon ANY crime, mass murder included. Gerry Ford's pardon of Trickey Dick was all encompassing. Whatever he was accused of, could be accused of, whatever he may have done that wasn't known at the time, EVERYTHING. Tricky Dick could have sacrificed new born infants, and he was pardoned for it with Ford's pardon.

Remember the "last minute" Clinton pardon of Marc Rich?? Hours before leaving office (and stealing sh*t from the White House and Air Force One), Clinton gave this guy a full pardon. Rich was a known and on the run felon (tax evasion) living in Switzerland. Rudy Guiliani was the federal prosecutor that nailed him (Rich). Rich slipped out of the country before being sentenced. Everyone was furious, but the pardon still stands. Rich isn't stupid enough to come back to the US and get caught in some trick bag of legalities.

I think someone should take his Presidential Crayon away then.

Here's an article about 'anonymous' from Daily Kos:

Digging Deeper into the new DEEPTHROAT
by free speech zone
Wed Aug 01, 2007 at 07:49:50 AM PDT

I am aware that there is already a diary dealing with the mystery poster on the Rec list. I thought the current diary only began to scratched the surface, so I wanted to provide this as an archive of sorts of all of the comments being made by this person, as it can be quite time consuming to sort them out.

This is a long diary so sorry for that. Before you get to the end please give this a rec. if you want more to see this, since it will take a while to read.

Lets start of with a quote from out mystery poster:

Remember, this information is open. Anyone can do this. The key is to notice the leverage We the People have on Congress, the President, and US government.
and

Do what you have to do. The problem is simple: The clues are emerging; the issue is whether people want to see them, then dig. The answer are not hidden, they are not as deep as you might think. One thing surfacing in one area, sheds light on what else is happening in other areas. Take the larger perspective.
Well said. Lets take the jump...

free speech zone's diary :: ::
First, a disclaimer regarding this diary. I made no judgment on the validity of these comments. I merely am archiving them so we can look them over. The person who is writing this is, in my opinion, very knowledgeable regarding the inner workings of Washington and some of this information starts to paint a very intriguing big picture that ties many smaller scandals into a much larger one.

Note that the poster often is answering questions and in doing so, copies portions of things others have written then replies, often separated by a series of dashes. This can be confusing at first but in time you can short out the pattern. I do not claim to be a great writer so this diary will be short on finesse and heavy on functionality.

The posts in question have been made on various threads over at TPM.

Cary,

You forgot the Texas Two-Step.

Cheney resigns and Bush grants Cheney a blanket pardon and then chooses a new Vice President.

The second step of the Texas Two-Step, has Bush resign and the new VP becomes President and grants GW Bush his blanket pardon, and everyone sails off into the sunset.

Bush moves to Paraguay and Cheney moves to Dubai.

Ooooh- i wish they'd do exactly that!!!
But i have a nagging feeling that any step like that would primarily be just what it says at the beginning of the quote in Painter's post: Housecleaning...
The idea is to take the heat off for a while- lest they get hindered by unneccessary ballast while preparing for the next trick.

No, Jeff, I didn't forget the Texas two step. Just wasn't being discussed yet. I'm clear if these goobers are under serious attack, they'll stage a sache' out of office where the main players get clear of harm's way.

IF, and that's just an IF, that happens, we'll know we have the 9/11 perps on the run.
