Guys, a friend was offering me recently of his opinion on the existance of UFOs and his 'evidence'. He gave me a link with a series of photos supossedly proving that only visits by aliens to civilizations of the past could explain their depictions of modern aircraft in some of these ancient artists' drawings and carvings. Upon my viewing of the below "helicopter" I cried"BS!". It's my opinion that modern-day history re-writers have faked the image as opposed to have been rendered 2 thousand years ago. I believe it was faked to bolster the UFO myth. Any takers?

Hmm, excelent chance to check out my new firefox addon,
I think it's called "tineye."
It scans for the same, or similar photo, at other websites.
here were my results:

nifty little tool.

When i did searches for my hummingbird, or my latest picture of pi*,
i got 0 results. lol (they say their data base is still very small).
However it is a good way to find out how much a certain picture,
has got around the web.

This one, seems to be at many "new age" sites,
which seems to be a source of much alien speculation.

As for ancient civilizations, here on Earth,
having sophisticated technology,
far beyond that of our own, today.
That is entirely likely, but we don't need aliens to attain knowledge,
we can figure it out for ourselves.
But over time, there are very few ways, to retain and preserve,
that past knowledge, acquired.

So, we are sort of cut off from the past,
through the long duration of time.

Any part of the Earth is going to experience a cataclysm
every few hundred years.
Even rock eventually breaks down.
How many times was the wheel invented,
only to have that village where it was invented and used,
to be wiped out by a volcano, tsunami, earthquake,
or avalanche.
All knowledge of the wheel or its' uses gone,
until somebody, somewhere else,
figures out how to build runways.

I agree with Quest that this image looks unlikely. However, I've been seeing this particular image (disinfo though it may be) published in books for many, many years. Longer than I've been on the web. I'd be hard pressed to find the source, I'm not that organized. But based on my recall only, I'd say it has been around for at least 20 years. I wouldn't be surprised if I first saw it or a line drawing of it in Erich von Däniken's 1968 book, Chariots of the Gods?: Unsolved Mysteries of the Past, although I do not possess a copy of the book to verify that.
