Proudbird just got done posting videos which prove that aircraft can fly within their flight envelope up to Vmo at low altitude. This is very different than the speeds reported on 9/11 which were 110-150 knots over their Vmo.

Here is what happens when speed increases.



This is just one of the many reasons why manufacturers set a Vmo (Velocity Max Operating).

If Proudbird were a real pilot, he would understand this and never post such videos as a comparison as all those aircraft in his videos were within the flight envelope, unlike the aircraft reportedly used on 9/11.

For those following, Pentagon Bloggers LOVE to post youtube videos of aircraft flying "fast" at low altitude as "proof" the 9/11 Aircraft can do the same. What they don't tell you is that the aircraft in the videos are all flying within their flight envelopes. Don't be fooled by Pentagon Bloggers and the control of information at ATS.

The ATS staff know he is one in the same. They don't ban him because ATS is a haven for Pentagon Bloggers. Proudbird/weedwhacker has been exposed as one in the same several times at ATS by several different members. ATS staff just delete such posts as either "off-topic" or "9/11 Madness" and ban the individual.

All one has to do to understand that it is the same guy is just read through the ATS thread mentioned above. It's only 4 pages long as of now. Both weedwhacker and Proudbird have posted in the thread. You won't see any change in writing style, nor claims of expertise, nor blatant BS tactics. Proudbird is even using the same avatar as he did when he was weedwhacker at one point in time.

The average layman can see though his BS but cannot quite source the material, this is why they ban and delete all real pilots who expose Proudbird/weedwhacker BS who are able to put him in his place quickly.

So what is the best estimate of 77's impact velocity?

"Estimate" doesn't matter.

The data provided by the NTSB shows 462 knots. If you believe the additional 4 seconds of decode done by "Warren Stutt", the speed is 488 knots. (keeping in mind not even the NTSB has acknowledged such additional data).

This is 112-138 knots over the Vmo of a standard 757.

All of the videos posted by Proudbird/weedwhacker show aircraft at airshows, operating well within their flight envelope. Were they "fast"? Yes, 350 knots is pretty damn fast at low altitude, but it is within the flight envelope as tested and rated for the aircraft.

Can they be compared to the speeds reported for the 9/11 Aircraft? Absolutely not. The L/D Max Chart I posted above (and deleted by ATS Staff as "off-topic"), demonstrates why they cannot be compared.

Drag increases exponentially in relation to speed. Again, this is just one of the many reasons manufacturers set a Vmo, and why you will not be able to find Proudbird/weedwhacker or any of his Pentagon Blogger colleagues to produce any source material in which an aircraft reached such excessive speeds over their max operating limits and held together, remained in control, and/or survived.
