this isn't links, more of a summation.
for years i've been keeping numbers and feeding them into excel. that's how i knew gold was going up and was going to continue to do so, hey, it cracked $1600. ten years and still going up.
in 1954, the base price of a corvette was $2774. in 1971, it was $5496. two years later it was $5561. plotting that data into excel showed that a 2006 corvette should have cost $10000. but it didn't. it was $43,700+ .
well, you may ask, 'what does that matter'. well, it depends.
i began the whole exercise to find the correlation between corvette (previous passion) price, money in circulation and national debt. it was interesting. plotting the national debt, again in excel (which i got to tell you has forecasting abilities from i don't know where) nailed it as far as the projection done in 2005 for 2010 went. i revisited the data today. with an r squared = 1, it shows the us national debt at $24 TRILLION in 2015.
bottom line, i don't see it. that's a crazy number. more crazy that the 13.7 trillion projected for 2010 was back in 2005. i am slow, and i'll be the first to admit it, but i don't see us making it to 2015. considering all the social engineering that has been going on, 2012 begins to take on a strange kind of significance.
well, here's a link anyway (not my original intent):
