ST. PAUL, Minn. — A federal judge has dismissed a lawsuit by former Minnesota Gov. Jesse Ventura in which he sought to challenge the use of full-body scans and pat-downs at airport checkpoints.

Ventura sued the Department of Homeland Security and the Transportation Security Administration in January alleging that the scans and pat-downs violated his right to be free from unreasonable searches and seizure.

U.S. District Judge Susan Richard Nelson ruled Thursday that the [FEDERAL] court lacked jurisdiction.

Ventura claimed that the titanium hip implanted in him in 2008 sets off metal detectors and that agents previously used hand-held wands to scan his body. He says he was subjected to a body pat-down after an airport metal detector went off last November.

Note: This is also why you can't take IRS in front of a FEDERAL judge...

I managed twenty cleaners in our local airport and got so sick of the stupid Aeroguard Security fucks playing with me and my staff that I quit.

Security was a joke and integrity non existent from Aeroguard top management down and two human rights investigations in two months proved to me that airport security was probably the biggest risk we faced.

If the monkeys rule air travel I'll drive.

I've been thinking about this for awhile, both because of geo-politics and the fascist state of the USA, and also because there's probably more opportunity, work-wise, for my field of specialization, namely classical orchestral performance. (Virtually every town has a full time orchestra where its members get paid a full time, livable salary, unlike the "minor" orchestras in the USA which, insultingly, do not pay enough to make a living.)

I have not flown and will not fly with the exception of direct family emergency, any longer. I have not flown in almost two years. And I used to fly every day. I have drawn the line in the sand, and will not fly for work nor for personal reasons. When the TSA kreeps are gone, I might re-open the discussion. I fear that the next election will be the last - not that it isn't a sham anyway. Jesse, if you run, we may yet have a slim chance. BTW, backscatter non-ionizing radiation is VERY bad for your cells and the DNA contained within it.

Although I do have my GA private ticket, the flying I was referring to was both commercial (back and forth weekly to the Pentagon to brief its "contents") and prior to that I flew every day to places that don't exist, to work on programs that were not acknowleged - I was living in las Vegas at the time.

Long story short, I made a concious decision I would not give these monsters one more brain cell, and don't work in the "choke" public sector any longer. Also in short - I gave up my rights willingly as an American Citizen to ensure what we saw occuring in the Soviet Union, would never happen here. We were a free country (sort of) - I knew 9-11 stunk to high heaven, that very day. And when TSA was born, I began to see what we knew happened in the Soviet Union, occuring HERE! The Patriot Act??? Give me a frik'n break. Its chapter and verse Soviet doctrine.

Anyway.. . I made a consious decision that I would NOT fly until this horror is gone TSA/Fatherland Sekurity. I would deny the airlines my money, and not be treated as guilty until proven innocent. This is very hard as my mom still lives in Vegas, and not flying to see her is painful, but I have and will, stick to my guns.

As I stated and you said, this is all about conditioning. Particularly the "kids" who never knew anything else......

This is not the country that Jesse grew up in and believed in, and sacrificed for, nor is it that, for me. We are in the last stages of being turned into all that was bad about the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. In short my sacrifice, the sacrifice of Mr. Ventura and of all of us who gave our all to defend the country from the "big bear" did so in utter futility. The barbarians are inside the gate, singing the national anthem, and wrapped in the flag.

I am fortunate that I have not had to fly airlines for probably 2 years now. Hopefully it will stay that way.

NEW YORK — An 85-year-old New York grandmother said Saturday she was injured and humiliated when she was strip searched at an airport after she asked to be patted down instead of going through a body scanner at Kennedy Airport Tuesday.

Lenore Zimmerman said she was taken to a private room and made to take off her pants and other clothes after she asked to forgo the screening because she worried it would interfere with her defibrillator. She missed her flight to Fort Lauderdale and had to take one 2 1/2 hours later, she said.

"I'm hunched over. I'm in a wheelchair. I weigh under 110 pounds," she said from her winter home at a seniors community in Coconut Creek, Fla. "Do I look like a terrorist?"

As a manager of our local airport Cleaners I went through Aeroguard security several times a day to check on ramp and "red" corridor side cleanliness.

I carried a jack-knife with me as I have all my life and each time I went through security I would put my knife in a plastic bucket and they would say "you can't have knives on the secure side of the airport" and then they would give my jack-knife back to me after running it through the scanner.

Every fucking time. After a couple of hundred times I couldn't do it anymore. The game just felt beyond stupid.

I'm with Jesse. That's the end of airports for me.
