WASHINGTON – U.S. and Yemeni officials say the supposed would-be bomber at the heart of an Al Qaeda airliner plot was actually an informant working for the CIA.

The revelation, first reported by The Los Angeles Times, shows how the CIA was able to get its hands on a sophisticated underwear bomb well before an attack was set in motion.

Officials say the informant was working for the CIA and Saudi Arabian intelligence when he was given the bomb. He then turned the device over to authorities. Officials say the informant is safely out of Yemen.

The officials spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss the sensitive intelligence matter.

This sounds more like a CIA stooge who was paid to help create the delusion that something bad could happen, therefore keeping up the façade of bad guys are out there.

I find it interesting that CNN, MSNBC and FOX…all promote undocumented psychological operations…

Why even bother watching the fantasy news?

In other words...the standard template...create the "news"...and leave it to the corporate lapdogs ken and barbie to spew the pablum. The only entertainment(although a perverted one at that) is watching these imperial sycophants as they affect such pretentious manners of conscientiousness as they deliver the latest propaganda.

Interesting the way this was presented in NZ on the Breakfast news - a long breathless piece that didn't mention how the bomb was recovered but did give the full "you should be very scared" spiel and this is why we have those scanners in the first place.

One day they say the mastermind of 911 is dead and the next day they say he is going on trial.

They show pictures of actor bad guys and actor good guys and add in phony dialog as if it were a cheap Chinese movie and regular people fall for it.
